Daniel Inayat "D.I." von Briesen
[edit]- Personal Background: Father of five, first marriage lasted almost 24 years, lived overseas as a kid in various places. Muslim, environmentalist, entrepreneur wanna-be. My personal mission is to help people demystify the world around them.
- Professional Background: Started in IT retail, then consulting, the dot-bomb, then education- primarily as web technologies instructor at community college, but also lead professional development training for educators.
- Educational Background: BS in Language & Business, MS in Management Information Systems. Lots of additional training in everything from firefighting/EMT/Military to CAD and Datawarehousing
- Background in the Field of Education/IT: First formal teaching was as ski instructor, then did training in consulting firm, then became adjunct at community college, and then full-time. Added adjunct positions at other schools (one four-year, one graduate program) and have done stints as fellow, program chair, yada yada... Strong interest in IT and education, and named consulting business KNEDIT- as in Knowledge, Education, IT.
- Interesting/Funny thing to Remember me by: I eat apples whole... or rather, I eat the entire apple.
