Navodit Sharma (born 09 March 1987) is an Indian theatre director, playwright, author, actor and independent filmmaker.
Early life and career
[edit]Born in Shahdara, Delhi, Navodit Sharma studied engineering and did MBA. He belongs to a brahmin family. He started the theatre group Navyam Studio Works in 2018. Amongst his notable plays are Azaadi – Ek Safar and Kiratputra.
Plays
[edit]While in school he acted in a play named Ganga Avatran, Navodit staged Azaadi Ek Safar a play about Indian Freedom Struggle and its revolutionaries. It was widely acclaimed play. Next year he has written, direct and acted in the play Kiratputra which was based on Mahabharata. Currently he is working on two plays Emergency and Kursi Baste Mein.
Short films
[edit]Navodit has written and directed short film named Me too Part 1 and Me too Part 2. Psychopath short film written and acted by Sharma entered into various film festivals.
