As a frequent reader of Wikipedia articles over many years I have been slow to create an account for myself to enable me to make contributions. In fact, until very recently, I remained blissfully unaware of the means of doing so and expect to remain a novice for some time yet!

I have a special interest in Disraeli, his life and times, friends, associates and novels, hence my choice of User name. Disraeli was affectionately known to his wife and friends by the nickname of "Dizzy". When Disraeli first met his wife-to-be, however, he was unimpressed and described her as a "rattle". (We would say "Gossip").
