Introduction
[edit]Hey, I'm Dorothy. I'm currently travelling in Europe. I've been travelling for about a week and I've got about a month to go. By the end of my trip I will have visited 13 countries. I will be finished my B.Sc specializing in Physics (knock on wood) hopefully by the end of this summer.
Personal Life
[edit]I was born in Penticton, BC which is near my hometown of [1]. Oliver is known at the Wine Capital of Canada[2]. The wineries near my house are (just to name a few):
- Jackson Triggs
- Silver Sage
- Tinhorn Creek
- Gahringer Brothers
- Golden Mile
I grew up in Oliver, but once I graduate I saw a chance to escape from the small town lifestyle. I took the chance and went to University in Guelph. I know Guelph is not huge city, but coming from a small town it was still a big change.
Travel
[edit]As i mentioned above I am currently traveling. Through the entire trip we will be visiting 13 countries and a short amount of time. So far it has been an amazing experience and we are only about half way through the trip. The countries we have visited or are going to visit in order are:
- England
- France
- Monaco
- Italy
- Greece
- Italy
- Czech Republic
- Austria
- Switzerland
- Germany
- Netherlands

Education and Academic Career
[edit]As I said above I'm hopeing to complete my physics degree this summer. I'm currently working on it while traveling in Europe. So it has been a bit of an adventure. Who knew that getting onto the internet could be so pricy and difficult at times. After I'm finished my degree I am hoping to find a job, but isn't everybody. I don't really know what I want to do. I guess it doesn't really matter at this point as long as it isn't a mindless job.
Hobbies
[edit]While studying at Guelph I played on the varsity field hockey team[3]. So we could say that field hockey is my hobby. It engulfed most of my free time while I was at school but it was totally worth it. I got to travel around Ontario, Canada, and the world. I also learned a lot about myself in the process. I guess I should mention that I was the goal keeper, so some people would say that I'm a little crazy. This is because a field hockey ball is very hard plastic and leaves large whelts when it hits an unprotected part of your body.
