Mallam Sule Yahaya Hamma MFR (Dokajin Sokoto) (Born on 15th April, 1948) in Garko Area of Garko Local Government, Kano State His Father Mallam Yahaya was a Schorlar where Malla Sule started his studies with Quar'an as his fathers student before he started his elementary school in Garko.

He attend Garko Elementary School in which he finished in the year 1959 and proceeded to Senior Primary School, Wudil, where for his brilliant performance he spent two (2) years instead of three (3) years, on 7th January, 1961, he went to Government Secondary School Birnin Kudu and later he attended Kano Provincial Secondary School where he obtained his High School Certificate (HSC) in 1968. In the same year, he worked for six (6) months with Kano State Government under Revenue Division. From March - September, 1969, he worked with the Central Bank of Nigeria and thereafter, he voluntarily resigned and proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria where in June 1972, he obtained his first (1st) degree in Political Science. In the same year, he was employed by Kano State Government as an Administrative Officer (Assistant Secretary) and was posted to Ministry of Finance. also served as the Secretary of the Kano State Tax Appeal Board from 1973 - 1974. He obtained his second (2nd) degree in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria in 1975.

Career[edit]

in 1975 he was appointed as the Executive Secretary of Kano State Rural Electricity Board and in 1976, he was deployed to Cabinet Office as Acting Under Secretary (Political). He was a part - time lecturer with the Department of Political Science at Bayero University Kano (BUK) from 1976 - 1977. In 1979, he was posted back to Ministry of Finance as the Deputy Permanent Secretary, in the same year, he was appointed as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) where he served for four (4) years (October, 1979 - October, 1983). In 1983, he was awarded with the National Honour of Member of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR). From 1986 - 1987, he served as the Chairman of Kano State Agricultural Supply Company (Kasco), and also served as the Chairman of Health Services Management Board (HSMB) from 1987 - 1988. He served as the Chairman of Dynamic Computer Services Ltd (a privately owned company).

He concurrently served as a member in the under listed Boards;

• Technical Company on Privatisation & Commercialisation (TCPC) under the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).

• Nigerian Airways.

• National Primary Education Commission.

Consultant & member of the Board of Baroid Ltd (an American Company).

In 1994, he was a member of the Constitutional Conference Commission and he also served in the Conference. In 1996, he served as the National Coordinator of the review of draft Constitution. From 1996 - 1998, he held the office of the Political Adviser to the Head of State. In 1999, he served as a member on the Presidential Advisory Committee. He was appointed as the first Pro Chancellor and Chairman governing council of Northwest University Kano in 2013. he was delegated to the to represent Kano Sate at the National Conference 2014 (CONFAB)

Politics[edit]

Since 1999, he became fully engaged in politics and served as a member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) in both the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC). He serve as the Director General Presidential Campaign of President Muhammad Buhari twice in the ANPP and once in the CPC. In 2006, he served as a member of the National Political Reform Conference.
