I grew up on the South Texas border and moved to Austin right after college, in 1970.

My patchwork "career" includes five to ten years each as a psychiatric nurse's aid, an office clerk, a preschool teacher, a telephone survey taker and a print-media advertising rep. I'm now a Social Security bum and work part-time only four months a year.

I'm the only songwriter in Austin who just wants to write not perform - so, trust me, you've never heard any of my material.

I edit/comment in Wikipedia fairly rarely compared with the more ubiquitous names I encounter in the Talk sections.
