Don Almeida (born 1974). Born in the financial capital of India, Mumbai and residing in Chantilly Virginia USA is a Virginia based IT professional. He spent his first years in Mumbai, living with his family on bare concrete floors and rope beds in a house built by his father. His family, from Catholic cast, was from humble roots; his grandfather worked as a taxi driver in the heart of Mumbai, of pre-independence India. They eventually moved to the suburbs of Mumbai where his father, George Almeida, got a job in a company called Special Steel Limited. Don graduated from Mumbai University, Mumbai with an Honors Bachelors Science degree in Chemistry in 1995. He continued his education in computers and completed the three year intensive program from NIIT. His classmates knew him as a sharp student who was good with numbers.

He began his career in the IT industry as a trainer, wrote technical course material for schools, and implemented networks and continued with software development. Teaching was never a job for him. He completed many certification from Microsoft [MCP, MCSD] and Computer Associates [CUE, CUI, CUA]. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute. He was invited in the USA in year 2000, to speak on .NET which is one of the premier technologies from Microsoft. He since then traveled around the world extensively training, speaking, presenting .NET Technologies. He has been a speaker and has presented before a crowd of more than six hundred people. Fearless and techno savvy Don Almeida, currently provides services in the IT arena.
