Douglas Earth87 Hi, I'm Douglas F. Williamson, international environmental communications specialist, filmmaker, actor, social media guy, translator, writer, and editor.
I'm from New York City originally, but have lived in four other countries in Europe and Latin America. I speak French, German, and Spanish fluently, on top of my native English.
My areas of expertise fall on the social science side of sustainable development issues. I do have language expertise and experience writing and editing on environmental topics such as forestry, hydrology, climate, green building and design, urban issues, biodiversity, and global environmental change, among others. I also have knowledge and experience in journalism and social media.
I also have a long history of experience in the entertainment field as an actor, voice-over artist, and film and theater producer and director. Hence, I have a broad knowledge of the arts and culture. I also teach improvisational theater and lead art therapy groups, also using psychodrama and improvisation techniques.
I am passionate about the environment, art, film, theater, music, and sports. I like to run and am an avid fan of baseball and soccer (football). I also enjoy games, such as cards, chess, and board games. Food, both eating and cooking, are also deep interests of mine and I can't refuse spicy food.
