James Michael Davis (September 23, 1950 – present) is an American entrepreneur and moderate political activist. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada and is currently acting as a BBQ cook and pitmaster in his restaurant aptly named Budsy's BBQ @ Legends Sports Bar.

Davis was previously a dental surgeon in Fort Worth, Texas from 1981 until 1991 at which time he retired from dentistry to become a licensed stockbroker and investment banker.

Davis was the first periodontist to be charged and convicted for the death of a patient by his former plaintiff's malpractice attorney appointed as special prosecutor after having an indictment dismissed twice by the courts. Upon circumventing the grand jury process the appointed special prosecutor was able to place a political contribution into the political fundraising account of a third judge to bring charges and a subsequent trial against Davis.
