Chuck Beattie (aka Dr. Blues) Musician, Writer, Actor Born Charles Malette Beattie, II February 1, 1951 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Now lives in Asheville, North Carolina.

One of the founding members of the North Carolina Jazz Ensemble, Durham, NC.
