Bibliography
[edit]Edit this section to compile the bibliography for your Wikipedia assignment. Add the name and/or notes about what each source covers, then use the "Cite" button to generate the citation for that source.
Examples:

- Jose-Mario Fontanilla, Arti Barnes, C. Fordham von Reyn, Current Diagnosis and Management of Peripheral Tuberculous Lymphadenitis, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Volume 53, Issue 6, 15 September 2011, Pages 555–562, https://doi.org/10.1093/cid/cir454
- This is a book published by the IDSA, so it should be very reliable. It is also very comprehensive in terms of detailing the disease process and management.
- Useful for general background detail
- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4295467/#ref1
- Also useful for general background detail and epidemiology.
- Srinivas CV, Nair S. Clinicopathological Profile of Cervical Tubercular Lymphadenitis with Special Reference to Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology. Indian J Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2019 Oct;71(Suppl 1):205-211. doi: 10.1007/s12070-017-1235-x. Epub 2017 Nov 11. PMID: 31741961; PMCID: PMC6848329.
- The only article I found so far regarding the "staging" of tuberculous lymphadenitis. Unclear if this is commonly accepted, could not find anything on staging in the IDSA book or other sources.
- Bhandari J, Thada PK. Scrofula. [Updated 2023 Apr 10]. In: StatPearls [Internet]. Treasure Island (FL): StatPearls Publishing; 2023 Jan-. Available from: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK557700/
- StatPearls page on Scrofula being a subset of tuberculous lymphadenitis.
- Article Source: Epidemiology of tuberculous lymphadenitis in Africa: A systematic review and meta-analysis Mekonnen D, Derbie A, Abeje A, Shumet A, Nibret E, et al. (2019) Epidemiology of tuberculous lymphadenitis in Africa: A systematic review and meta-analysis. PLOS ONE 14(4): e0215647. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0215647
- Article with a good summary paragraph of the global epidemiology of extra-pulmonary tuberculosis.

[edit]Outline of proposed changes
[edit]Click on the edit button to draft your outline.
Now that you have compiled a bibliography, it's time to plan out how you'll improve your assigned article.
In this section, write up a concise outline of how the sources you've identified will add relevant information to your chosen article. Be sure to discuss what content gap your additions tackle and how these additions will improve the article's quality. Consider other changes you'll make to the article, including possible deletions of irrelevant, outdated, or incorrect information, restructuring of the article to improve its readability or any other change you plan on making. This is your chance to really think about how your proposed additions will improve your chosen article and to vet your sources even further. Note: This is not a draft. This is an outline/plan where you can think about how the sources you've identified will fill in a content gap. |
Will add to Signs and Symptoms and Causes.
Unsure about the stages... will either add the citation I find or eliminate completely since I can't find good sources detailing the Stages. This may be the most drastic change I am proposing, open to feedback.
Will add to the Diagnosis and Treatment sections.
Will consider moving Epidemiology to a first section, and will add to this as well.
