Felice Aldo Casotti (1st February 1929 – 25 July 1944) was an Italian Partisan during World War 2.

Aldo was posthumously given the Gold Medal of Military Valor, after he was shot during the battle the Staffora & Arocino Rivers, in the region of Oltrepò Pavese while carrying ammunition to resistance fighters.[1] His nickname 'Mondello' was given to him for his young age.


Aldo was a resident of Nervi, he also has a monument/ and street dedicated to him. Aldo fought with Parisian forces when he died at the age of 19.


The farmers of the surrounding area also assisted with the battle, carrying ammunition and shooting the enemies with their own hunting rifle.[2]
