I'm Dennis Williams. I'm a professor of History and Geography and the Director of General Eduation at Southern Nazarene University, a liberal arts college in Oklahoma. My areas of specialization include Environmental History, American West, History of Science and Technology and World History. I am also interested in developing innovative ways to use open source information, like wikipedia, to enhance education. I've contributed some to Wikipedia pages. Recently, I've begun replacing textbooks in my survey classes with exercises that ask students to think critically while gathering information about topics in class from wikipedia. I do hobbies related to land navigation...letterboxing, geocaching, adventure racing, and the like.
