During the early 1980’s, Cpl. Dean Waddell along with several of his squad members began mixing the coffee and cocoa packs that were included in their c rations. This mixture was coined comoca by the members of the 1/19th Scout Platoon. The cafe latte craze was picked up a short time later and latte art claimed credit for the Veterans creation.
