i try to contribute a bit here and there, but, as the rest of my profile shows, i'm not really a hardcore WikiPedia user.
Self-educated in areas of autism, sleep disorders, and general psychiatric and pharmacological details relating to the aforementioned topics. Formally educated in photography (both digital and traditional). I have a few very seriously involved environmentalist friends that have taught me a lot of scary stuff, too. i've worked in design, training, and tech support, while pursuing art and music as hobbies. Currently on disability for various issues and not making any income.
Trying not to troll here: i'm also rather displeased with the wikimedia tool itself. Its design makes it accessible to geeks but is very inaccessible to non-geek, non-computer-obsessed doctors and research scientists/students.
We are in the age of WYSIWYG (Or, rather, we were; thanks CSS and Wikimedia). We've been since the 1980s (not that the ideal has been met at all times by the execution). Technology needs to evolve. There was a brief moment of hint at a golden age, but I think that's gone now.
i hope my contributions have some merit.
