I have been an academic member of staff in the School of Mathematical & Geospatial Sciences since 1981. My areas of expertise are: surveying; geodesy; least squares; map projections. My special interests are geodetic computations (lines and curves on an ellipsoid of revolution) and the transverse Mercator map projection as it applies to mapping and coordination in Australia.
