Weather Conditions[edit]

In 2014, there is particular worry about the extreme heat during this tournament. While temperatures reach 108 degrees Fahrenheit, play continues.[2] This tournament will certainly prove to test the endurance of the players in such extreme conditions. With such high temperatures, competitors are at an increased risk to experience exertional heat illness (EHS). EHS is identified by a rectal temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius with indications of organ failure. [3]
