Project Goals

Since most of the University programs in Sri Lanka are done in English. English becomes such a vital factor in higher education. Therefore English education in schools is directly impacting on Sri Lankan University education. This project is designed to find solutions to this particular issue.
How the e Guru Gedara works
[edit] To execute this English teaching and leadership and soft skills development program we are planning to get down 10 University undergraduates or recently pass out graduates from European and Asia pacific countries through AIESEC Exchange program.
European and Asia pacific countries through AIESEC Exchange program.
One foreign volunteer will be responsible in executing the program in one school.
To teach English there will be a curriculum prepared by AIESEC with the help of local universities of Sri Lanka. It’s the choice of thestaff and the school administration whether or not to adopt the curriculum that AIESEC will provide, after inspecting it.
School administration is in charge of providing proper time slots for the teaching sessions. The times could be during school hours orafter school. Hence, this will be a full time volunteer ship for the foreign undergraduates or recent graduates.
