"While that may be true, settlements are created on palestinian land, homes are demolished for them, livelihoods destroyed because of them sending people into poverty."
-Israel Palestnian Conflict Page-
occupation abuses human rights and thus is a key issue.
-it will talk less about the status of land -it will talk mor about the human rights abuses (checkpoints, house demolitions) OR a new section can be created that is about human rights violations against Palestinians in the occupied territories.
-Israeli settlements, palestinians, human rights-
-chagne "amnesty international says its illegal" to "international law says its illegal"

Thanks for starting a mini-DR. IMO, the wording shows that it is not exactly objective but in any case that list is too vague on one hand (occupation) or on the other too specific (wall). From Canadian perspective currently in the lead, it's okay, but perhaps the order is not right: mutual recognition, borders, security, water rights, control of Jerusalem, Israeli settlements and legalities concerning refugees. I would change control of Jerusalem to 'separation of Jerusalem', Israeli settlements to 'Israeli settlements and Jewish residency', and refugees to 'immigration of refugees and descendants of refugees'. I would add 'free/safe passage of Israelis and Palestinians' in all areas. --Shuki (talk) 23:56, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

not objective: because most of the barriers mention israel?
too vague: occupation is a blanket term for many things - restricting movement, no vote allowed by pal's whos lives are controlled by the military which enforces the occupations, curfews etc. this is what is meant by occupation. (clear concrete examples exist)
canada is not a balanced opinion here, very verifiable and well know. (canada park, can always support isr.'s decisions i.e. gaza '09)
I would also change to separation or jerus.
I don't understand what links iraeli settlements w jewish residency if you acn explain this please do
immigration perhaps return is more accurate (they are after all refugees)
