Oboburu Town is community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local government of Rivers State. The town is occupied by indigenous people of Ogbaland.

Geographically located in the south western part of Ogbaland. It has a population of over 30,000 persons. The land has plenty clay,crude oil and Natural gas. The town is made up of numerous communities which includes; Mgbuatata, Otto Science village, Owhoeke community, Orokworie, Obile, mgbuoji, Obey, Akohiakran, and Igburu etc. The people are great wrestlers, the Oboburu wrestling festival known as Mgbaegwu kah Ovrun is attended by Ogba and Ekpohia people.
