Dr. Elie Bou Yazbeck

is a Nutrition and Food Safety Expert at the Ministry of Economy and Trade (MOET) Lebanon. As Food Science specialist, Dr. Bou Yazbeck is mainly responsible for the food research and development activities at the MOET.

With more than 15 years of experience, the major fields of research and activities are food quality and safety, labeling, food frauds, and inspection and management issues. Prior to join the MOET, Dr. Bou Yazbeck worked as Quality manager in a large scale meat processing company for seven years.

Since 2003, Dr. Bou Yazbeck is a university teacher for several B.S. and M.S. levels courses related to the human nutrition, food services and quality management, in addition to that, he worked as Food Management consultant and Trainer.

Dr. Bou Yazbeck holds a Ph.D. in Agro-food Biotechnology field from the University of Perugia, Italy. Dr. Bou Yazbeck is member in different scientific committees, had several research publications and activities and participated in many national and international scientific conferences.
