Hi! My given name is Elke. My mor says it is from a German book called Der Schimmelreiter (Rider of a White or Pale Gray Horse). In the book, Elke is the Dike Master's daughter. Mamma is from Sweden, so I don't know why she was reading German books!

I was born and live in the United States. I have a BA in Economics, a Master degree in Aerospace Engineering, and a PhD in Applied Physics. I love music, computer programming (C++, R, Python, Java), and hiking.
