I am a big elo fan and never saw them live but since 1977 I have closely followed all the Jeff Lynne musical connections.
My aim is to make elo wiki a readable account of elo.
I believe it should be full of knowledge for people to discover elo.
I have spent nearly a whole day tidying up a lot of the ELO subject, only to see it deleted, then having to put it back again.Surely one good word is better than 5 in a poorly constructed sentence?I have tried to retain the original but make it sharper with less words.
"Do Ya" a Move track written by Jeff Lynne's hand,is correct, the Move's "Do Ya" is an inaccurate description, they performed it but Jeff Lynne, wrote it,later re-arranging it with strings for ANWR.
So why was my edit removed?Clearly my edit, made it clear who wrote and who performed "Do Ya" originally.
Links, are not all the links fansites of various degrees? My link is not strictly one or the other but it is worthy, like the others I would guess.
I like the truth and I like to write, editing is pointless unless you can see which is better, that is why I edit.
I am from London and live in Scotland.I am male and I love music all music.
Once again my contribution has been removed. Now I have a spam notice, very odd indeed.
Surely we do not need to know Rosie Vela was an ex vogue model? The fact that she had an album released in 1986,is more in context with the subject.
Links removal, well the only official link is Showdown and Face The Music, all the others are fan sites and should also be removed based on the ideology of 'Fansites'.
Editing to make things more true and factual is not wrong or spam, neither is making things clearer and accurate spam.
Surely if a link leads to a site that contains mostly french, plus bootlegs which are illegal. All the sites are self promotion that are views and opinion, they are not official and they have no expert input. They are mostly private websites or Yahoo groups. The only official site that can be used as concrete evidence and information is Face The Music. All the others are fansites and should be removed under the terms of Wiki.
