'Passion meets determination- Imagination meets seduction

“ I don’t believe in boundaries; I don’t believe in limits. “'

Meet Erika Moon, the epiphany of a woman who takes her own eclectic life as a roadmap to create a world that invites to leave conventional concepts at the doorsteps and be transported into a different reality. Born in Pau, a small city in France to Latin Parents, Erika spent much of her childhood in front of the mirror twirling, dancing and playing dress up. But what for most young girls remains child’s play took on a near obsession that kept her on a steady path to developing into the performer seen on stage today. Schoolgirl by day and determined artist in training by night with the drive that inspired her to create her own choreography, internalize countless TV dance moves, design costumes and roll it all up into her own unique concept. She also started to take on jobs as a fashion model, capitalizing on her love and talent for the stage. This continuing process started to take on a more tangible shape and at 15 she appeared in her first official show in France at an annual city event! At 16 Erika moved to Toulouse to study fashion design but continued to perform in theatres and clubs at night, honing and defining her craft. Her life had now come to an obvious crossroad where she had to make a decision about whether to pursuit a more conventional and “safe” career in Fashion design, or dive head over high heels into her dream of being a performer. The solution came as a combination of both, as her experience in design allowed her to create her own fashion and incorporate that special aspect into her colorful, unusual set and costume design.

At 22 Erika put together her first team The Diamond Girls, which supported several associations and foundations such as “Un maillot pour la vie”. She was also able to acquire some high profile customers such as “Casinos Groupe Barrière” , Lido de paris, or Festival d’Angoulème which further helped her to establish her name.

After this first taste of real success things began to move quickly and Erika found herself performing with her newly founded and produced show “Les Delicieuses” all over France, Spain Canada, Mexico and Hong Kong, all the while absorbing new flavors to be incorporated into her repertoire and bag of tricks!

The seasoned performer did not rely on a formal dance education but formulated her own concept inspired by TV, dolls and every show she could sneak into. After collecting a kind “Street education” of dance she decided to go back and further her self-acquired technique with a base of conventional dance education, once again incorporating a new facet into her creations.

“ I like to combine structure with chaos–convention with freedom.” Says Erika who includes classical Ballet dancers alongside Cabaret /Burlesque dancers in her show. A fireball of passion and pizzazz spiked with grit and vision she continues to create new shows- new concepts, yet all carrying her signature sizzle and stamp of feisty imagination. Her experiences inspired the colorful creation of characters such Betty Boo’s moods, Marquise Delirious and the unique to France cutting edge show “Cleopatra’s Bath”, bringing fantasy and luxurious glamour to a new level. Erika’s most recent production and current signature show, Evolution Burlesque, redefines the concept of Cabaret and incorporates 17 years of traveling the world. This imaginative show incorporates dance, acting, comedy and mystery, blurring the edge of conventional genres to create a unique atmosphere of class, sizzle and seduction. The sold out show premiered Feb 18, 2011 at the Colony Theatre in Miami Beach and received raving reviews and media coverage! Never having been a friend of convention Erika refuses to play by the rules. Furiously and inventively blending different genres of dance and theatre, the sharp contrasts of seemingly contradicting styles come together resulting in a unique and eclectic performance that inspires, touches and leaves the audience wanting more. Erika’s stage design and choreography plays with the imagination and creates a fantasy world that unites Cabaret, acting and dance with sensuality. The driven perfectionist wears the hats of producer, choreographer, model, lead dancer, costumer designer and business manager. Her production and directing style are shaped by her talent of coordinating a team and setting a standard of excellence for each and every production. “My goal is to bring different cultures along with the spirit of Paris Cabaret together and create a unique mix that allows people dive into a different world and leave their everyday worries behind. When you walk out of one of my productions or shows feeling inspired, happy, and emotionally recharged, I have my reward!” Now officially residing in Miami, Erika will continue to present Evolution Burlesque along side a new venture, the Viva Paris Cruise. Her company Erika Moon Production still retains its headquarters in France with director “Alison “ in charge of operations. Her Production and Entertainment company - Imagine me Productions based in Miami Beach will manage all International Operations.
