We believe Erin of "The Office" sitcom has some form of problem comprehending the physical and emotional anomaly that happen in the said "office". We have 2 hypothesis, 1. She feels sorry for Dwight and Andy, so she treats them as though they have some for of "mental handicap" 2. She is innocent/ignorant to the bazar physical and mental state of Dwight and Andy.
