This is where you will compile the bibliography for your Wikipedia assignment. Please refer to the following resources for help:

  • The Journal of Geochemical Exploration is a significant book that talks about the natural anthropogenic factors done on groundwater in a natural volcanic system. The main purpose of this article is to analyse how the sea water from the Aegean Sea makes the groundwater have major traces of salinity but is still able to support plant life grown on top of the soil. The conclusion of the article was that the groundwater had a high salinity from the volcanic land mixing with the groundwater itself causing the dissolution of minerals to be filtered out of the aquifers making it undrinkable to humans but still sustainable to plant life.
  • The website Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to research and defend the biodiversity of the Greek Islands and the Mediterran Sea. The site itself provides 6 other links to follow that talk about maritime crimes of polluting while also talking about past major accidents and then providing statistics. The main goal is to show the biodiversity in the Aegean Sea while also giving context on environmental issues that could greatly affect the Sea. The government organization also provides summer internships on research vessels to give students a first hand look at what is done and the analysis aboard a ship working for the company.
  • The website Mark J made is to talk about the history of the Aegean Sea and how the people lived and strived over the course of time.
  • The article about deep sea biodiversity describes the different ecosystems living within the Aegean sea and could be very beneficial to describing what resources are farmed from the Aegean as well as what is taken.
