Errol "Spat" Oktan (born October 1) is an FX Make-up Artist/Prop Maker/Costumer/Actor and Costume Designer. He is also known for putting together hugely successful, fan-friendly, Comic Conventions with his own unique blend of artists, celebrities, vendors, voice-over artists and other special guests tailored to the fans.

Personal life[edit]

Spat was born in Long Island City, New York, and presently lives in Little Neck, New York with his favorite mini-pincher side-kick, "Belle".

Career[edit]

Spat's FX career began with his own needs to create gory, bloody effects and his interest in learning about how things are made and put together. His personal love of comics and their artists led Spat to volunteer at comic cons until people began to see that he could do much more when left to his own devices; thus began his other career as a Comic Convention Coordinator. His wit and flair with the public, as well as his expertise in the field also keep him in demand as a Guest of Honor or Master of Ceremonies at other conventions such as SheVaCon, Icon, etc.
