Jetflite is a commercial air operator who holds Air Operator Certification (AOC) granted by the Finnish Civil Aviation Authority. All aircraft operated by Jetflite are registered in the Finnish aircraft register and air crews as well as Jetflite’s personnel are mostly Finnish. The company has its own maintenance organisation and hangar based at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Size of Jetflite’s aircraft fleet has varied between four and ten over the years. Company’s largest aircraft is Falcon 7X OH-WIX which was delivered in 2014. OH-WIX has carried out commercial flights to the Antarctica as the only Finnish aircraft more than ten times during years 2015–2017. Other fleet has mainly been Bombardier Learjet, Global and Challenger 604/5 and 300/350 types. Aircraft can carry 8–18 passengers. The core fleet includes Challenger 604’s with configurable cabins (can be modified to 11, 14 or 18 seats or ambulance aircraft with two stretchers). The company has offices at Helsinki-Vantaa and in Moscow. Jetflite has a valid DGR permit and an international business aviation IS-BAO certification. Main areas of activity include long-haul ambulance and evacuation flights, corporate business charter flights and management of third party aircraft.

Jetflite was established in 1980. Its founders were Timo Korpivaara, main owner of Korpivaara Ltd, Jarmo Kammonen (Fuji Finland) and Jussi Aspiala (Yleiselektroniikka). All stakeholders were long-term Finnish aviation professionals and when Korpivaara bought Cessna Citation aircraft, an airline was founded. After Timo Korpivaara passed away Matti Korpivaara continued operations as the owner of the airline. Jetflite operated Wihuri’s Challenger CL600 business aircraft from 1994. Wihuri Ltd acquired both Jetflite Ltd and Euro-Flite Ltd in 1996. Jetflite and Euro-Flite Ltds were merged in 1998 and the new company was named as Jetflite. Euro-Flite remains as Jetflite’s auxiliary business name. In the 1990s the company was among the few business and air ambulance operators flying in the CIS countries and the Soviet Union.
