The palamaria is an agricultural tool for harvesting cereals, which was used during the pre-industrial era. It is a wooden handle with three recesses for the three fingers of the hand and a wooden extension that rests on the top of the palm. This tool protected against sickle and snake bite injuries and at the same time enlarged the palm so that more ears of corn could be harvested.
