"Catch Me When I Fall" is a song from Ashlee Simpson's 2005 album I Am Me; it is the album's eighth track. It is a sorrowful ballad that was composed in the wake of Simpson's disastrous Saturday Night Live performance in October 2004. Simpson has said of the song that it's "about this loneliness and this emptiness that you feel when you're wondering who's gonna catch your fall. The song is kind of like, when you finish a show and you go home and you're by yourself and you're like, 'Maaaan, I'm going through a lot right now and I'm alone.' I really did have a lot of people around me, but that was just a feeling that I felt."[1]

It is was speculated by some that "Catch Me When I Fall" might be released as a single after "L.O.V.E.", but in fact "Invisible", which is not on the original version of I Am Me, was the next single.

Despite never being released as a single, "Catch Me When I Fall" has charted on Billboard's Pop 100 at #93[2] on the strength of its downloads.

When Simpson returned to Saturday Night Live for a redeeming performance in October 2005, she performed "Catch Me When I Fall" as the first of her two songs. It went off with no problems.
