ExternalBrain was a term and URL developed by medical student Dimitri Bacos and his technical\financial counterpart Michael Conneely. Although there has been some confusion as to the origin, the copyright and use of the term has been closely monitored to give credit to those who have kept the original focus of the project on a development track without concern for one entity's financial concern.
