Jordan Maron a.k.a CaptainSparklez is a professional youtuber. He was born on Febuary 10, 1992, Making him 20 years of age. He is partnered with Machinma. As of now (October 10,2012) he has 1,756,161 subscribers. He started his channel "CaptainSaprklez" on July 23, 2010. His original youtube channel was ProsDontTalkShit. On that channel he mainly posted Cod (Call of Duty) videos and even then he still was partnered with Machinima. On his new channel CaptainSparklez, Jordan does a varitey of Minecraft videos. These vary from snapshot reviews/overviews to custom maps such as the Survival Games. His most well know series is his Skyblock 2.0 Series. This Series has some special guests such as Mark Rabon a.k.a AllShamNoWow and Nick a.k.a NEFN. In addition to uploading Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 2 and Happy Wheels videos he uploads some music videos such as "Revenge". These are Minecraft parody songs. All of these are sung by TryHardNinja. Little is know about Sparklez personal life as he likes to keep that private like many other youtubers, but all of the information we do know about his personal life is from his vlog videos "The Captains Vlog." Such things include that he likes to wear a bathrobe while making his vlogs and other videos. And in every video entry he says "Alright what's goin' on dudes and welcome to ...(<-Game he is playing)."

CaptainSparklez (Jordan Maron) is a Youtube gameplay commentator [1] . He has many popular series the most famous and popular series it the Minecraft gameplay series. Other gameplay Sparklez also posts include games such as Happy Wheels, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal and occasionally Call of Duty. Often, these gameplay videos feature him playing co-op with some of his friends.

History of CaptainSparklez

CaptainSparklez's original channel was called ProsDontTalkShit. It mainly featured Call of Duty videos and was run under Machinima.

On the 23rd of July, 2010 a new channel was created named CaptainSparklez and Jordan then continued by posting CoD gameplay videos to this channel instead. As Minecraft got mildy popular Jordan posted a few Minecraft videos and soon he completely switched his channel from Call of Duty to Minecraft. His first song parody TNT, posted on the Feb 26th 2011 increased his popularity greatly and earned many new subscribers. Jordan knew this song was a hit and continued to work on more. Later the song Revenge was posted. Minecraft Skyblock Survival soon appeared, gaining up to more than 2 million views. His second most famous series, Happy Wheels soon gained popularity on his channel, advancing him to 800 thousand subsribers. Then came his Minecraft Survival Let's Play, generally appearing to be more popular among his other series. His third parody soon came along giving him the subscriber boost to almost a million. The song affiliated in this video is titled, Fallen Kingdom, after the original song, Viva la Vida, by Coldplay. Following this success, Sparklez accepted the invitation offered by the Machinima team to participate in the Survival Games. His popularity is still continuing to expand as of now and is currently working on more of his gameplay series.

Minecraft Parodies

On the 26th of February, 2011, he released his first song, TNT[2]. Their next song came on the 19th of August, 2011, also being their most famous song at 79th place on the Youtube Top 100 Charts. The song affiliated in this parody is titled, Revenge [3]. On the 1st of April, 2012, Sparklez, again, posted another parody titled, Fallen Kingdom,[4] after a few days of absence without posting any videos. The original song is Viva la Vida, by Coldplay.

Deep Space Turtle Chase

On 15th october, Captainsparklez in collabaration with the Voxel box team released what seemed like months and months of hard work a custom map onto the minecraft forums[5] called deep space turtle chase. There were traps all over the place and puzzles and awesome stuffs like punishment systems and redstone mania. He did a bit of a play through on his channel too. He did half of the work by giving ideas and the voxelbox team including ridgedog and deamon from the noxcrew gameshow created them. 9 episodes were shown on his channel about him building some parts of the adventure map especially the art of terraforming.

CaptainSparklez is currently going from strength to strength, current statistics (on 10/10/12) from social blade suggests that he is averaging over 1 millon views and nearly 5 thousand new subscribers every day[8].

CaptainSparklez's real name is Jordan Maron, and he lives in Santa Barbara, California. He does have a public Twitter account and a Facebook account. He also Livestreams on 'Twitch.tv' Here. He also sells T-shirts on 'Spreadshirt' HereHe has 10 designs in Kids, Men's, and Women's shirts.

CaptainSparklez's most popular videos, by far, are his Minecraft Let's Plays. He has played through a wide range of various Minecraft custom 'adventure' maps and Mod reviews over the years. He also has an on-going Minecraft 'Survival' series, in which he plays what is called "vanilla" Minecraft; no added mods or custom maps. He also has created 3 Minecraft music videos/parodies, which are by far his most popular videos. They are; "TNT", parody of Tao Cruz's "Dynamite", with nearly 42 million views,[9] "Fallen Kingdom", parody of Coldplay's "Viva la Vida", with 33.8 million views,[10] and "Revenge", parody of Usher's "DJ's Got Us Falling in Love Again", with 64.7 million views.[11] Jordan has also participated in several Minecraft 'events' with other popular Youtubers. Such as the Minecraft "Survival Games" 1[12] and 2[13], which are player vs. player custom maps; made by Variede; based on the popular books and movie, the 'Hunger Games'. The Survival Games were hosted and played by various Minecraft-related Machinima 'Directors'. He also played in an event called 'Crown Conquest'[14] with popular Minecraft Youtubers, such as the Yogscast and their 'family', and others.
