The Islamic Speakers Bureau (ISB) of Atlanta is an educational 501(c)(3) non-profit, apolitical educational organization that provides certified Muslim speakers to promote awareness about Islam and Muslims. The ISB of Atlanta achieves its mission by providing hundreds of presentations, training seminars, workshops, and panel discussions annually in schools, colleges and universities, law enforcement agencies, healthcare facilities, and community organizations as part of cultural diversity curricula and programs.

Mission:[edit]

The mission of the organization is to counter prejudice and discrimination against Muslim Americans by teaching about their traditions and contributions in the context of America’s history and cultural diversity, while building relations between Muslim Americans and other groups.

The ISB of Atlanta was started in August 2001 by current Founder and Executive Director Soumaya Khalifa. The ISB of Atlanta is an affiliate of the Islamic Network Group.


Recent Efforts:[edit]

ISB was awarded the 2012 Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award by Emory University on January 19, 2012.

The ISB of Atlanta has received the Alif Institute of Atlanta’s 2013 Arab-American High Achiever’s Award. (October 2013)
