Angelo Federico Arcelli (Milan, November 2nd, 1970) has a degree in economics from Bocconi University (Milan) and a PhD in economic history from the same university. He has been a professor of economic history of money and banking at LUISS Guido Carli university, Rome (2003-2004 academic year) and assistant professor in economic history of Europe in Naples Federico II university (1999-2002), Tor Vergata University, Rome (2004-2005), LUISS Guido Carli university, Rome (2004-2007).

After some experiences in financial consulting (with McKinsey & Company and Accenture) he served as a member in the Italian Government cosultative committee in the Dept. of EU affairs, Prime Minister's office, on the projected EU constitutional treaty (2003-2004). He has been advisor to the vice president of European Investment Bank (Luxembourg, 2004-2008) and then advisor to Executive Director of the World Bank (Washington, DC - USA), after April 2008.

He is knight of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Italy and Knight of Grace and Devotion of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (Rome).
