Gedion Zelalem[edit]

Gedion Zelalem (born 26th January, 1997) is a German professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Arsenal FC.

Biography[edit]

Although being from Ethiopian descent, Zelalem was born in Germany while his family are based in Maryland, USA.

Zelalem began his footballing career at Olney Rangers, Bethesda on the outskirts of Washington DC.

Zelalem signed for Arsenal FC in January 2013 on his 16th birthday.
