Background[edit]

While my education is in mathematics and astrophysics, I have spent my whole career in information technology.

Original from Yorkshire, England, I have lived in the USA for many years. I am now retired.

My user name refers to my occasional hobby of walking the Lakeland Fells in Cumbria. According to Wainwright [1], 57 fells exceed 2,500 feet and I have climbed them all.
