Biography

[edit]

Hello there, and welcome to my user page. I am an 18 year old man attending my first year at Everett Community College. I have made this account solely for my English 101 class. I was born and raised in Everett to a Christian household. I am the youngest of three, having an older brother and an older sister. Our dog is a 1 year old English Springer Spaniel with black and white fur. His name is Flash, hence my username Flashy Boy.

I attended the Catholic school St. Mary Magdalen from preschool thru eighth grade. After that I attended Cascade High School for all four years of high school. During my time there I made some life long friends that I hope to never lose. During high school I was exposed to the world of computer science and decided that that was what I wanted to major in. Academic life aside, I enjoy playing with my dog and playing video games with my friends. Sometimes I feel as though I spend too much time playing instead of studying but that's life.

Article Critique

[edit]

I enjoy listening to the band Twenty One Pilots whenever I can. They are among my favorite bands and the only band I've ever seen live. I wanted to know how well Wikipedia has been keeping up with the information about the band; thus my topic became clear. To make certain that they had adequate information regarding the group, I explored and found some an area for improvement on the groups Wikipedia page for their album Blurryface. I visited the Blurryface album page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: how well the article has been kept up-to-date, some of the citations they have listed, and a lack of information within the article.

Article kept up-to-date

[edit]

With only one glance at this article's history page, it is clear to see that it has been kept up-to-date. It took a little while for me to reach the revisions that weren't within the past year. While many of the revisions of the page are minor, there are still some that add more than just a small amount to it. Seeing that people care about this page to check on it and keep it as concise as can be warms my heart.

Citations

[edit]

There is an abundance of citations listed on this page. Incredible to see so many for the band's album, not even the band itself. Taking a closer look, it is clear to see that that is because of a necessity for the same URL in a different language. While visiting a handful of them at random to see if they checked out as reliable, I suddenly found myself reading French or German. Needless to say, this page has been researched very well; and the information is quite accurate.

Information Missing

[edit]

While I may have just said that the information, I never said that they weren't missing something. In the section titled "Title and artwork," I found that some information is lacking within this article. I did my own research to see if I could find the information that they were lacking; and I was successful. I was able to find an article detailing an interview of the group while they were in France. In which, they reveal some information that should be present in this article about the album.

Summary

[edit]

Overall, I'd say this page "meets expectations." It contains all of the information I would expect to need regarding the album. I do wish to see that more information be added to it using the article I found. If the article I found seems insufficient, I also found a YouTube video of the interview to further prove that it is reliable. I posted a question on the talk page asking if the information could be added in the near future.
