[1]The genre is a dictionary of the American Literacy and the purpose along with the exigency is for definition of words. The audience is those who seek knowledge of defining words. This source provides definitions of the word "bite" along with sentences on how it would be used, therefore adding more insight on the word. The American Heritage dictionary not only gives the definition of "bite" but gives examples of related words like "sting" and phrases that people would use the word "bite". I plan on using this to reconstruct the lead section and potentially the introductory sentence. This reference has some good words that are related to the topic that can be used to further describe the topic, making it beneficial to have more definitions.

[2]The genre is an encyclopedia and the purpose along with the exigency is sharing information. The audience is for those are seeking not only a definition but also a description on a topic. This reference talks about the different bite infections in humans and the causes and symptom's. Mentioned are the types of infections that are a product of mouth bacteria. A short explanation of adults vs children biting is given and would be great added to the human section in my chosen article. My chosen article would benefit from this information because it currently lacks details on humans biting. I plan to use some of this information in the lead section and the rest of it added into the human section, as the human and lead section need added details the most.

The research proved to be more difficult than I anticipated. The school’s librarian helped me significantly in finding my first source through Credo. The second source took me a very long time to find because I wanted to use a peer review or article type of source but after inputting several different variations of the word “biting” I went back to Credo and found this helpful source. I really wanted to focus on the human biting aspect because that’s what I felt would be the most beneficial to this topic. The format of Wikipedia took me a while to figure out after I realized what I was supposed to follow, which is the examples underneath of my typed bibliography.
