The nhow Berlin is a 4+ star design hotel. It offers 304 rooms and a convention center with 7 meeting rooms. It is part of the lifestyle brand nhow hotels developed by the spanish hotel chain NH Hoteles[1].
Architecture and interior design
[edit]The NDC Nippon Development Corporation acted as the project developer. The hotel is situated Stralauer Allee (de) 3 in the area Berlin East Harbour (de), a former industrial harbor. The architectural design by Sergei Tchoban (de) is intended to resemble the apperance of trading posts and cranes of the 19th century combined with modern design.[2]
Karim Rashid was responsible for the interior design. His designs are known for round forms and loud colors which clearly reflects in the hotel.
Miscellaneous
[edit]- it is the first european hotel with in-house music studios[3]. They collaborate with lautstark music management/Hansa Tonstudio[4]
