Born in France, Sam Baron has a degree in Design from the Fine Arts

School of Saint Etienne and a post-graduate degree from the National Decorative Arts School of Paris. Baron loves to reinterpret traditional methods of construction, raising questions about the utility of today's material productions. He creates products, exhibition and interior design projects, giving life to cross-over works mixing art and design. He is an independent designer and creative consultant for international companies such as Dior Maison, La Redoute, Vista Alegre and the iconic French art de vivre brand Diptyque. He has been consultant as Design director for Fabrica, the international communication research center based in Italy, during a decade.

In 2009 Baron received the "Grand Prix de la Creation de la Ville de Paris" in the design category and in 2010 Philippe Starck selected him as one of the ten important designers of the next decade. He is part of the 100 more influential french designers with international career.

Sam Baron currently lives and works between Portugal and France, which has recently knighted him as chevalier des arts et des lettres.

His clients are from different kind of industries from hospitality to objects or furniture as also museums or galleries or even digital platforms such as airbnb for example.

He works with several kind of material such as glass, ceramic, wood, stone and upholstery.

His pieces can be mass produced or in limited edition or even part of workshop result exhibitions.

He has been working internationally in countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Thailand, USA, China, UK, Japan, Tunisia or Maroc.
