The Holy Trinity is a micro-budget, independent film written, produced and directed by filmmaker
Oliver Paglia.
Heavily influenced by the work of the likes of C.G. Jung, Alan Watts and Joseph Campbell, the film
centres around an anonymous young man, trapped in a forest wilderness where he encounters strange,
supernatural characters that have a profound effect on his psyche.
Stylistically close to the spaghetti westerns of Sergio Lione, and not too dis-similar to the Jean-Paul Sartre
play, No Exit, (without the existentialist nihilism) the film grapples not so much with the neuroses of the individual
characters, but with the western preoccupation with duality and inner moral conflict.
