From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you can't take constructive criticism from yourself, how are you going to take it from others? I'm starting a page to document the times I royally screw up. This will also make it easier if I do find myself before ArbCom, because anyone gathering evidence of my character flaws can find them all here.

In case it's not obvious: The primary purpose of this page is for me to remember, and therefore continue to learn from, my mistakes. I want to be a better Wikipedian, and I think this will help. -GTBacchus(talk) 16:17, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

Editors at whom I've blown up[edit]

I'm never proud of this. A few times, while I've been at Wikipedia, I've gotten mad enough to really let someone have it. I'm going to construe this list broadly, because I'd rather be over-inclusive than under-critical of myself.

The idea is a chronological list, which I can bulk up with diffs over time. At first, I'm just going to write down names. If anyone can add anything to the list that I've forgotten, please go for it!

  • Alienus (mostly via email)
  • Tony Sidaway
  • Nuh-huh (more-or-less)
  • Filll (mostly via email)
  • Roux
  • Baseball Bugs
  • Malleus Fatuorum
  • Jay Maynard
  • Badagnani

  • MONGO?
  • JzG?
  • ChildofMidnight?

When I had an account at Encyclopedia Dramatica, when it existed, I flamed some people there, but that was the culture, so it's really a different story. I was doing as the Romans do. I don't consider Wikipedia to be that kind of Rome, and I don't consider flaming or near-flaming to be in any way appropriate here, for any reason. Every time I've done it, I was wrong.
