What to do next
[edit]Playing the Knights has been fun and productive, but once we take the Rook, we won't have much offensive pressure left. The question will be how to open up the back to get some more pressure on white. Ideas? --NThurston 13:04, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- That's one good idea. Also, what about Qe5 or Qf6 to allow the Knight out of the corner? BTW, I don't play chess much, but you had left a very strong position when I started making moves. --NThurston 15:56, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- Whoever moved the pawn blew it. I don't think we anticipated the Kg1 move in the discussion above. The correct response should have been Queen to e1, forking the King and bishop and forcing the King out front. However, I don't think this is an unrecoverable error. --NThurston 13:30, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Turns out that moving the knight out front wasn't a bad move. It was lost anyway, but moving it out front changed the pawn dynamic allowing the queen access to the 3rd row. --NThurston 16:37, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
