Fresh water fishing techniques

Fresh water fishing is different from salt water fishing because there are different types of fishing techniques that are used for fresh water fishing and salt water is different because you need a different rod and reel for the salt water. The salt water will corrode the reel from the salt, but unlike freshwater you do not have to worry about that. Freshwater does not require as much of higher strength fishing line or hook. Unlike saltwater you need stronger line and bigger hooks.

Salt water fishing techniques

Salt water fishing is different in some aspects from fresh water fishing. Such as salt water fishing requires more heavy equipment for catching larger fish that are harder to pull in. For salt water fishing you need stronger fishing line, heavy fishing rod strength, heavy duty hooks. There are two types of saltwater fishing, inshore fishing from a dock or boat, and deep sea fishing. With shore fishing you will not get the big game fish but you can get a lot of species of fish. In deep sea fishing you will be fishing for tuna, mackerel, and sharks. This is where these type of fish like to hang out at.

People may have developed basketry for fish traps, and spinning and early forms of knitting in order to make fishing nets[2] to be able to catch more fish in larger quantities to sell at a food market.

Traditional fishing
