Tien Shan Tzi: (Celestial/Heaven Moutain Temple) Temple of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts. The, Not-For Profit, temple is run by Sifu (Teacher) Roberto "Beto" Briseño. Who teaches the Traditional Five Animals and Five Families Chuan Fa (Fist-Method/Boxing) Systems, as well as the Internal arts: tai chi chuan, ba gua, and hsing I. Sifu "Beto" was a disciple of Grandmaster Ark Yuey Wong, Also known as the Grandfather or Father of Kung Fu in America. Sifu "Beto" has many students and also teaches "Qi(Chi) Gong Classes.
"Celestial Mountain Temple" Located at the base of the Franklin Mountains in El Paso, Texas, Established in the early 1990's. Originally called Tien Shan Pai (Celestial Mountain School) but to avoid any violations which could render litigating consequences it was changed due to an already existing Tien Shan Pai in China. The temple used to advertise the Shaolin Chuan Fa, but again to avoid conflict the Temple no longer lays claim to the name. Although, the temple teaches Long Fist and other related styles it is simpler to present as Traditional Chinese Martial Arts. The doors are open to everyone and promotes: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. The temple invites people of all ages, race, sex, creeds, faiths, religions, political views and even sexual preference to promote not just tolerance, but knowledge and unity of the localized people. Using not just the physical aspects of the Martial Arts of teaching proper techniques, fighting strategy, and form, the temple teaches Qi Gong , Taoist Yoga stretching and Meditations. The temple always invites teachers in many fields: Chen-Style Tai Chi Master Zhu Tiancai and as well as the venerable monk Chenrezig Tibetan Buddhist Losang Samten, Tibetan Buddhist Monk Tulku, as well as Yoga Hindu Teachers and more. The temple is dedicated in strengthening the community in as many ways as possible and helps out cancer patients offering them free Chi Gong Classes and Classes for The University of Texas at El Paso.
Chuan Fa Temple of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Chuan fa (No sports). Teaching traditional martial arts weapons, Chi Gong, Shaolin, Hung Ga, Praying Mantis, Choy Lay Fut, Tai Chi Chuan, Ba Qua, and Hsing-I. No Wu Shu. Teaching True Street and War Self defense: meaning that all martial arts teachings are for survival against lethal opposition, not for sports. Although the teaching is to measure and weigh all circumstances as 3 levels: Control, Maim, and Lethal. Control; use only enough technique or force, against an assailant, that will subdue him without causing excessive damage. Maim; Twist, Strain, break bones, and strike repeatedly enough to stop or subdue a relentless opponent. Lethal; subdue your opponent using lethal force in the circumstance that your life or others are in jeopardy, and only use this level if absolutely necessary.
Sifu Roberto Briseño A Disciple of Master Ken Rogers, who at present cannot be located, taught Sifu Roberto "Beto" Briseño; Shotokan Karate, Jujitsu, Goju Karate/ Okinawa-te, and Tang_Soo_Do. Soon after Sifu "Beto" was drafted into the U.S. Army Rangers and had two tours during The Vietnam War. Later in San Diego California he had the priviledge to study under Grandmaster Ark Yuey Wong who taught Sifu "Beto" The Five Animals and Five Families Chuan Fan, as well as The Internal Arts. He is the creator of Tien Shan Tzi in El Paso, Texas.
