The Afro Dream[edit]

This is a not really a new phenomenon but its a concept that has been ignored for ages, especially in the developning parts of the world. As people's attention is directed toward peace and stability, development is neglected to a certain extent. One wonders what happened through times of history for there to be big cities and towns, because it is now seeming to be an impossibility for a new city to be born. What is happening? Why is there a neglect of the rural areas, which have been given a seemingly 'compensatory' morden day term, "Growth Points." And to think of the economic activity potential that remains untapped, one wonders if these developing nations will one day be called developed. If an average of 60% - 70% of the population in these countries are living in rural areas, how are these countries going to develop with only 40%?

The Afro Dream is that one day, the majority of the African population will be educated and conscietised on developmental issues. African must defy the "Dependency Theory" and be able one day to compete on the global platform with their own auto-mobiles, electronic equipment, and even its very own master ideas.
