Hurricane Katrina: The Social Production of Disaster (Race, Gender, Class, Terraforming) Draft:
- Create section on how the disaster was made possible
Race:
- Go back to the New Deal Era and talk about how redlining but African Americans into the worst off communities.
Gender:
- Talk about how gender worsened race
Class:
- Talk about how segregated communities based upon social class factor in (will relate to race)
Terraforming:
- Talk about how New Orleans is an impossible yet inevitable city.
