[edit]On September 14, 2021, the New Jersey Devils signed Jankowski to a professional tryout contract.[1] He failed to secure a contract with the team during training camp and was released from his tryout in October.[2] On October 15, Jankowski signed a one-year contract with the Rochester Americans, the primary AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres.[3] He began the 2021–22 season in Rochester, but after recording five goals and 12 points in 13 games, Jankowski signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Sabres on November 28.[4]

Jankowski returned to the Predators organization for the 2023-24 season on a one-year, $775,000 contract.[5] He was assigned to the Admirals out of training camp,[6] where he recorded three goals and 14 points in 17 games before being called up to Nashville on December 3.[7] Four days later, as Tommy Novak was activated from the injured reserve, Jankowski returned to Milwaukee.[8] There, Jankowski was named the AHL Player of the Month for January, scoring seven goals and 19 points as the Admirals went 11-0 on the month.[9] This performance earned Jankowski another promotion in February, where Brunette hoped he would take a larger offensive role on the Predators.[10]
