  • The Giant Squid's eyes are one of the largest eyes in the world, second only to that of the Colossal Squid's. It can grow up to 10 inches in diameter.
  • It has been thought that such large eye size was evolutionally driven due to predation from the Sperm Whale, to detect the potential predator in the darkness.
