Interests[edit]

Indian Philosophy[edit]

I have a strong interest in Indian Philosophy, especially Classical Indian Buddhism and Classical Vedānta. I hold a PhD in philosophy, specialising in indian philosophy and Sanskrit. I teach on on several undergraduate philosophy courses at multiple institutions. A small selection of my work is available at my Academia.edu page. I spend a fair amount of time lurking in and editing the various Indian Philosophy wiki pages.

Philosophy of Religion[edit]

This is a discipline in which I have a strong interest and considerable experience. My main area of interest is apophatic theology and mysticism, though I also enjoy fictionalism in religious contexts.

Sanskrit[edit]

As part of my research into Classical Indian Philosophy, I had occasion to learn Sanskrit. It is a language with which I spend a reasonable amount of time and with which I have attained some degree of proficiency. I have been known to pop up on relevant wiki pages to correct wayward/awkward transliteration and translation.
